The Hidden Seven Creeds and Codes

Why Guardians Take a Pledge, an Oath, and a Promise
At first glance, a pledge, an oath, and a promise may seem to mean the same thing. They all express commitment. But in The Hidden Seven, each has a unique purpose.
Together, they represent the journey from joining, to committing, to living the Seven Principles.
The Guardian Pledge — I Choose to Begin
The Pledge is the first step.
It is a declaration of intention. By taking the Guardian Pledge, a Seeker chooses to begin walking the Guardian path. They are not claiming perfection or expertise. Instead, they are saying:
"I want to learn. I want to grow. I want to make a positive difference."
The Pledge marks the beginning of the journey.
The Guardian Oath — I Choose to Live These Principles
The Oath comes after learning the Seven Principles.
Unlike the Pledge, which is about beginning, the Oath is about personal commitment. It is a conscious decision to make the Seven Principles part of everyday life.
The Oath is spoken not because someone is perfect, but because they are willing to be accountable for their choices.
It represents a commitment to character rather than achievement.
The Guardian's Promise — How I Will Live Every Day
The Promise is different again.
It is not spoken on a special occasion.
It is a daily reminder.
Simple enough to remember and powerful enough to guide decisions, the Promise becomes a personal compass for everyday life.
Think Freely.
Seek Truth.
Respect All.
Protect Dignity.
Steward the Future.
Show Courage.
Serve Humanity.
I am a Guardian.
Why Three Commitments?
Many organisations ask people to make a single declaration.
The Hidden Seven recognises that lasting change happens in stages.
The Pledge says, "I choose this path."
The Oath says, "I commit to living these principles."
The Promise says, "This is how I will live today."
One marks the beginning.
One deepens commitment.
One keeps the commitment alive.
Together they create a journey instead of a single moment.
A Guardian is not defined by one ceremony or one decision.
A Guardian is shaped by the choices they make, day after day.
That is why we take a Pledge.
That is why we speak an Oath.
That is why we live the Promise.
Together, they help us become the people we aspire to be—and together, we carry the Light.
Seeker → takes the Guardian Pledge.
Guardian → speaks the Guardian Oath after learning the Seven Principles.
Guide & Beacon → continue to live and demonstrate The Guardian's Promise every day.

The Guardian Pledge
I choose to walk the path of a Guardian.
I will learn the Seven Principles,
care for our shared world,
and treat every person with dignity and respect.
I will begin with small actions,
keep an open mind,
and strive to leave tomorrow better than today.
I am one Guardian among many.
Together, we carry the Light.

The Guardian Oath
Before my community,
before future generations,
and before my own conscience,
I freely make this oath.
I will seek truth with an open mind.
I will think independently and act with courage.
I will treat every person with dignity and respect.
I will care for the Earth and serve wherever I can.
When I fail, I will learn.
When I fall, I will rise.
Each day I will strive to leave the world better than I found it.
This is my oath.
Together, we carry the Light.

The Guardian's Promise
Think Freely.
Seek Truth.
Respect All.
Protect Dignity.
Steward the Future.
Show Courage.
Serve Humanity.
I am a Guardian.
Leaving humanity, the planet, and future generations better than you found them.
