Start a Guardian Circle

Change Begins With a Conversation

Every strong community starts the same way.

A few people come together.

They share ideas.

They build trust.

They take action.

That is how Guardian Circles begin.

You do not need a large organisation.

You do not need special qualifications.

You simply need a desire to bring people together through the Seven Principles and a commitment to making your local community a better place.

One Circle can inspire a neighbourhood.

Many Circles can inspire the world.

What Is a Guardian Circle?

A Guardian Circle is a small group of people who meet regularly to learn, support one another, and take positive action.

Some Circles meet in person.

Some meet online.

Some focus on environmental projects.

Others support local charities, organise community events, or simply provide a welcoming place for thoughtful conversation.

Every Circle is different because every community is different.

What unites them is a shared commitment to the Seven Principles.

Why Start a Circle?

People are looking for more than information.

They are looking for connection.

A Guardian Circle creates opportunities to:

  • Build genuine friendships.

  • Support personal growth.

  • Learn together.

  • Organise local projects.

  • Strengthen your community.

  • Welcome people who are searching for purpose and belonging.

A Circle is not about creating followers.

It is about creating more Guardians.

A Circle Can Begin Anywhere

You don't need a meeting hall, a large membership, or years of experience to start a Guardian Circle.

In fact, many Circles will begin with people who already know one another.

A Circle could start with:

  • A group of friends.

  • Neighbours who want to improve their local area.

  • Work colleagues who share common values.

  • A coffee morning group.

  • A sports team.

  • A walking group.

  • A book club.

  • A gardening club.

  • Parents at the school gates.

  • University students.

  • Volunteers at a local charity.

  • An online group meeting by video call.

If people regularly come together with a shared desire to learn, support one another, and make a positive difference, they already have the foundations of a Guardian Circle.

The Hidden Seven simply provides a common framework, practical resources, and a shared purpose built around the Seven Principles.

You do not need to build a community from nothing.

You can strengthen the community you already have.

What Does a Circle Do?

Every Circle chooses activities that suit its members and local community.

Examples include:

🌱 Tree planting and wildlife projects.

🤝 Volunteering with local charities.

☕ Coffee and conversation evenings.

📚 Book or article discussions.

🚶 Community litter picks.

🧠 Personal growth workshops.

🎓 Guest speakers.

❤️ Fundraising for local causes.

🌍 Celebrating acts of service.

Small actions create lasting change.

A Typical Circle Meeting

Every meeting should be welcoming, practical, and enjoyable.

A simple format might include:

Welcome

Meet new members and catch up.

Reflection

Share a recent experience connected to one of the Seven Principles.

Discussion

Explore a topic, article, or Guardian Question.

Community Action

Plan or review a local project.

Encouragement

Celebrate successes and support one another.

Next Steps

Agree on one positive action before the next meeting.

A meeting does not need to be perfect.

It simply needs to leave people feeling inspired.

Circle Principles

Every Guardian Circle agrees to:

  • Welcome everyone respectfully.

  • Encourage evidence-based discussion.

  • Celebrate diversity of thought.

  • Avoid political campaigning on behalf of the Hidden Seven.

  • Reject discrimination and hatred.

  • Protect members' privacy.

  • Lead through service rather than authority.

The goal is to build trust, not control.

Support From the Hidden Seven

When you register your Guardian Circle, you will have access to resources designed to help your group succeed, including:

  • The Guardian Handbook.

  • Discussion guides.

  • Monthly Guardian Questions.

  • Community project ideas.

  • Event resources.

  • Promotional materials.

  • Leadership guidance.

  • Best practice recommendations.

You are never expected to build your Circle alone.

Registering Your Circle

To protect the integrity of the Hidden Seven and ensure a welcoming experience for everyone, all official Guardian Circles must be registered.

Registration helps us:

  • Support local groups.

  • Share resources.

  • Connect nearby Circles.

  • Maintain community standards.

  • Protect the Hidden Seven name and identity.

Unofficial groups may still meet independently, but they may not present themselves as official Guardian Circles without approval.

One Circle Can Change a Community

History reminds us that many positive movements began with a handful of people who cared enough to act.

A conversation around a kitchen table.

A walk through a local park.

A few neighbours planting flowers.

A group of strangers becoming friends.

Every Guardian Circle begins with a single invitation.

Perhaps yours will be the next.

If you believe your community could be stronger…

If you believe people deserve a place where they can learn, belong, and serve…

If you believe ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things together…

Then start a Guardian Circle.

Your community is waiting.

Start Small. Grow Naturally.

The strongest communities rarely begin with hundreds of people.

They begin with three friends having a conversation.

Five neighbours planting flowers.

A weekly coffee morning.

A football team helping at a local food bank.

A family deciding to volunteer together.

Do not wait until everything is perfect.

Begin with the people already around you.

As trust grows, your Circle will grow with it.

One conversation can become one Circle.

One Circle can strengthen one community.

Thousands of Circles can help change the world.

Seven Principles. One Humanity. One Future.
